My oldest daughter and I always team up for cards. We created the name of our team more of a joke against my husband and her uncle.  
But the more it was said the more it became about empowerment. I have never shied away from being more. I originally started out this life to be a forest ranger, my husband made sure I knew how to fix things. I can install flooring, toilet build most things. When our family grew and we had two girls we decided they would be raised knowing they can do anything they ever wants. My oldest wants to work with wood in the trades. 

Recently I had an experience at a hardware store where the clerk talked down to me (in not so many words he called me stupid and said I knew nothing) I hope he regrets that because I went to the manager about it and explained how I felt. No one has the right to put any woman down.
